Hi, I’m Marlene.

Wife, mom, business owner, believer, storyteller and a woman still learning what it means to follow God faithfully in everyday life.

This space is where faith meets real life—the beautiful, the ordinary, the stretching, and the unfinished. I share what God is teaching me through marriage, motherhood, ministry, personal growth, but also I share some travel, style, and the everyday moments that keep drawing me back to Him.

The heart behind this space

I didn’t create this blog because I have all the answers. I created it because I believe there is purpose in sharing what God is teaching us while we are still learning it.

My hope is that something you find here encourages you to see God more deeply, live with greater purpose, and recognize His presence in the middle of your real life—not only in the polished moments, but also in the difficult conversations, growing seasons, ordinary routines, and unexpected lessons.

In this space we are learning, surrendering, becoming, and continuing to grow together.

My life is made up of many roles, but every part of it belongs to God.

A little of my story

My story has included joy, disappointment, restoration, mistakes, answered prayers, and seasons when God had to rebuild things in me before He could work through me.

I have learned that faith is not only found in major breakthroughs. It is formed in our homes, our marriages, our conversations, our obedience, our waiting, and the quiet choices no one else sees.

I am still becoming. But I have seen enough of God’s faithfulness to know that no surrendered season is ever wasted.

Pieces of My Heart

  • My calendar is full, my laundry isn’t folded, and I’m probably running five minutes behind.

  • I love Jesus, but I’m still learning how to slow down and be present.

  • I get overwhelmed and overstimulated more easily than I’d like to admit, and I’m learning that peace isn’t found in having fewer responsibilities—it’s found in surrender.

  • I’m intentionally breaking unhealthy patterns and allowing God to rewrite old stories.

  • I laugh loudly, cry easily, love deeply, and feel everything with my whole heart.

  • I never want to look back wishing I had done more while I still had the chance.

  • Food is one of my favorite ways to bring people together, and cooking is one of my favorite ways to love them.

  • You’ll usually find a book on my nightstand and another one already waiting to be read.

  • Give me an excuse to put together an outfit, and I’m probably already planning it. (Yes… retail therapy has gotten the best of me once or twice. )

  • Traveling has become my newest obsession. Experiencing new places with my husband has reminded me how big, beautiful, and creative God truly is.

  • I’m not interested in pretending life is perfect. I mess up constantly, but I know I want to live it with purpose.

  • Some of my greatest growth has come from my hardest seasons.

  • I don’t have life figured out—I just know the One who faithfully walks with me through it.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
— Matthew 6:33
